HISTORY: The Pancake Breakfast
The first breakfast was held in 1949 to defray the cost of the Christmas Parade. Vivian Hudson's kitchen at The Toledo and Neapolitan Lane was the center of cooking activities. The breakfasts were held for many years in the parking lot of the market at Second Street and Ravenna, and eventually moved to the Colonnade, where they are still held. Besides funding the Christmas Parade, the event offers a wonderful opportunity for residents to work together and socialize. There is always a feeling of camaraderie and a good time is had by all.
